Sulfamethoxydiazine is a sulfonamide consisting of pyrimidine having a methoxy substituent at the 5-position and a 4-aminobenzenesulfonamido group at the 2-position. It has a role as an antiinfective agent, a leprostatic drug and a renal agent. It is a sulfonamide, a member of pyrimidines and a sulfonamide antibiotic. It is functionally related to a sulfanilamide.
