Disuccinimidyl suberate is a N-hydroxysuccinimide ester resulting from the formal condensation of the two carboxy groups of suberic acid with the hydroxy group of 1-hydroxypyrrolidine-2,5-dione. It is a noncleavable and membrane permeable crosslinker. It has a role as a cross-linking reagent. It is a diester and a N-hydroxysuccinimide ester. It is functionally related to a suberic acid.
